A Workshop focused on The Police and Andy Summers, the guitarist of the band, and addressed to all the enthusiastic musicians interested in knowing more about one of Rock’s most original instrumentalists. Indeed, The Police have been a decisive band in the evolution of music: born into punk, they got their music influenced by reggae, and finally they became one of the most refined pop bands ever. The main actor of this extraordinary metamorphosis was the guitar of a brilliant, innovative, and visionary musician: Andy Summers. His musical aesthetic has redefined, if non even invented, the ‘80s pop guitar sound.A two-hour guitar lesson and guided listenings designed to enjoy, play, and study the music of The Police through the analysis of their guitars sections. A precious didactic appointment for those musicians that want to discover and learn the techniques of a guitarist that has changed both pop and rock guitar voices. But, at the same time, a unique opportunity for the fans to listen, from a new perspective, to one of the most important bands ever: The Police.

Un Workshop dedicato ai Police e al loro chitarrista Andy Summers, rivolto a tutti i musicisti appassionati e curiosi di conoscere uno degli strumentisti più originali del Rock. I Police, infatti, sono stati una band decisiva nell’evoluzione della musica: partiti dal punk si sono contaminati con il reggae, per diventare, infine, una delle più raffinate pop band della storia. Protagonista di questa eccezionale metamorfosi musicale fu proprio la chitarra di Andy Summers, musicista geniale, innovativo e visionario. L’estetica musicale di Andy Summers ha ridefinito, se non addirittura inventato, il suono della chitarra nel pop degli anni ’80.Due ore di lezione di chitarra e ascolti guidati, per sentire, suonare e studiare la musica dei Police attraverso l’analisi delle loro parti di chitarra. Un appuntamento didattico prezioso per i musicisti che vogliono scoprire e approfondire la tecnica di un chitarrista che ha cambiato la voce della chitarra nel rock e nel pop. Ma, al contempo, un’occasione unica per gli appassionati che vorranno ascoltare da una prospettiva inedita una delle band più importanti di sempre, i Police.
