Since march of 2017, Albert Salmerón is the president of the Association of Musical Promoters (APM) from Spain, the entity must representative of the industry of live music in the country.
Currently, he´s the director and founder of the promoter Producciones Animadas, created in 1991 where he has been in charge of the group´s tours like Phoenix, Daft Punk, Goldfrapp, Crystal Castles, Air, Morcheeba, Trentemoller, St Germain, Jane Birkin, Bebel Gilberto, George Ezra, among others.
Also, he is co- director of the Festival of Independent Music of Zaragoza (FIZ) and Mestiza Festival.
Among other roles, he has been the artistic director of the festivals SOS4.8. BAM, Pròxims and the responsible of the selection of electronic music for the Doctor Music Festival. Also, he has been the funder and responsible of Cosmos Records, a label of electronic music; promoter of Clubs like Sporting Club, Monumental and Veneno; DJ and professor in several Degrees and Masters of Cultural management.
He started his career as a journalist and has collaborated several occasions with El País, Ajoblanco and Rockdelux. He used to be the Editor in chief of the section of Clubs, Music, and Trends of the magazine Disco 200 in de middle 90´s.
